Jane Iredale Samples

I emailed Jane Iredale and asked if they offered samples before buying their products. Thankfully, they said YES!!! Which is exactly what I like to hear. I corresponded with the Jane Iredale’s representative, Cathy, who was very sweet and sent me a few samples.  I was offered samples of both their pressed powder and mineral makeup.  I took their shade finder quiz and guessed my shades. I choose; butternut and fawn.  She also included coffee and caramel. I have duplicates of a few shades. The color that matches my skin tone the most is butternut.  It’s literally spot on. I have butternut in both the pressed powder and mineral makeup.

Eucerin Lotion

What a surprise this freebie was!!! I’ve done Eucerin free samples in the past and they have been the little sample packets. This freebie was from their Olympic promo.  Like their page on Facebook and click on the free sample tab, fill out the form and then in a few weeks your freebie will arrive.  Eucerin constantly has freebies going on for   This one is a 2 oz bottle of their daily protection moisturizing body lotion.  This is perfect because I am constantly searching for a lotion that small enough to put in my bag when I’m on the go.

Has an SPF of 15. It moisturizes and helps protect aganist the daily UV exposure that can lead to sunburn.  Even though it’s Fall it is always good to wear lotions with SPF in them.  The lotion is frangance free and has a light weight feel.

Gamma Labs G – Fuel

Image

Where to begin…where to begin. I received the fruit punch flavor and I did not like the taste. No matter how hard I shook my water bottle it still tasted powdery. I added more water, shook again and still powdery. The front of the packaging g fuel is said to provide “energy, focus, and endurance.”  I can’t say that I gained either of these three claims. I think it is a personal preference.  Even though I didn’t experience anything from this drink you may. For those of you who want to give G-Fuel at try visit their Facebook page, click Free Samples.

Dermorganics Shampoo and Conditioner

I’m always looking for new shampoos and conditioners. Using the same shampoo for a couple of months your hair will get used to it. So it is always good to change up your shampoo and conditioner every few months. I contacted Dermorganics and asked if they provided samples to try of their shampoo before buying. Dermorganics is a company that doesn’t use sulfates or parabens in their products.  They included 1 fl oz of the daily conditioning shampoo, intensive hair repair masque, daily hydrating conditioner, and leave in treatment.

Shampoo – This is one of the creamiest shampoos that I have ever used. You can use a quarter sized amount and it will completely lather your whole head.  All of their products are made with amino acids and essential fatty acid cleansers.  While I liked the creamy texture of the shampoo, it stripped my hair.  My hair felt extremely dry after I rinsed my hair.

Intensive Hair Repair Masque – This definitely combated the dryness that was left by the shampoo.  It suggests to leave on 3 to 6 minutes but I left it on for about 15. After using this I followed up with the daily hydrating conditioner.

Daily Hydrating Conditioner –  I love love love love this conditioner!!!! It helps with detangling and leaves hair with lots of bounce and shine. Out of all the products this would be the one that I would purchase.

Leave in Treatment – I really like the smell of this. It smells like a lip gloss that I had before. All you need is a few drops, work that into damp hair and then style as desired. It is supposed to repair, protect, and shine.  I use this as a daily oil to use for wrapping my hair. I do like that it helps with frizziness.

St. Ives Scrub

Today in the mail I received my Facebook St. Ives Apricot Scrub sample.  This is from their Fresh Face Summer Blockbuster Poster Program.   St. Ives does frequent freebie giveaways, so be on the look out. I received this by liking their page on Facebook, create a poster using a photo of yourself, and then submitting this for approval. It’s as simple as that.  I created the poster on August 15 and it arrived this week. So it took around 7 weeks to arrive.

*FYI Facebook promotion arrivals come within 4-8 weeks.*

This scrub smells delicious. I used to use this all the time when I was in high school. It has little micro beads to help exfoliate the skin and clear pores. It has salicylic acid to help with acne. I can already tell a noticeable difference in the texture of my skin. So this is a must for those with acne.

Free Lipton Tea & Honey Mix

I saw this freebie post on a few freebie sites that I frequent.  I’m not the biggest tea/iced tea fan. However I was curios to try this out. The mango pineapple flavor is the only flavor available to sample. If you are not a mango pineapple fan, I suggest emailing them to request another flavor sample to try. The samples includes one drink packet and one $.50 off coupon. This drink is only 5 calories, sweetener with honey, made from real tea leaves and real fruit flavor.

My verdict:  The mango pineapple flavor was very refreshing. However I experienced an after taste. It tasted like the artificial sweetener Splenda (yuck).  If it didn’t have that horrible after taste I would have been thrilled but the after taste through me off.

However judge for yourself.

Ecotools

I brought a brush set from EcoTools a long, long time ago.  After cleaning my brushes I noticed that the bristles on my finishing brush started to shed profusely. So I decided to contact EcoTools and explain to them my brush situation. In about a week’s time I received a response saying that they would replace my brush and send a free extras. Well to my surprise they sent 5 free products!!!!

I received:

• 2 finishing brushes (only one is pictured here, gave the other to my sis 🙂 )

• Concealer brush   • Pack of sponge applicators    • 2 bamboo mini nail files

Kabuki Brush – All of these brushes are incredibly soft.  The bristles are made from synthenic taklon so they are 100% cruelty free. Which is always a plus!!! All of the handles are made of bamboo.  The thickness of the brush is what I love the most. I love a full brush. My main use for this brush is to finish, blending my foundations and tinted moisturizers.

Concealer Brush – I don’t wear concealer.  I did use this to set my tinted moisturizer underneath my eyes and it worked very well.

20 Cosmetic Applicators – These are literally some of the softest applicator brushes that I have ever used. I love to use these for lining, shaping and little bit of contouring. These are great to keep in your makeup bag in your purse just is case you forgot your brush. These are of a higher quality then the ones that come with eye shadows.

Mini Bamboo Nile File – A standard nail file. Very sturdy which I like.

If you are having the same problems with any of your Ecotools brushes contact them and let them know. They are more than helpful.
